iToBoS project representatives attended the Smart City Expo World Congress, that took place in Barcelona from November 7 to 9, 2023.
The congress, held in Barcelona since 2011, is the world’s biggest event for cities and urban innovation with the participation of leaders from the most innovative companies, governments and organizations to move cities towards a better future. Their goal is to collectivize urban innovation across the globe and empower cities to face the critical challenges the world faces today.
This edition included conferences, debates and exhibitions dedicated to enabling technologies, energy and environment, mobility, governance and economy, living and inclusion, infrastructure and building, safety and Security, and blue economy.
How cities are planned and developed for people and their needs, and the challenges of how creativity and innovation can be fostered to create urban environments that support the health, well-being and prosperity of all were prominent issues in the that iToBoS is concerned. The event allowed fruitful meetings to share the functional, technological and commercial proposal of the intelligent total body scanner, identifying new challenges and contrasting solutions and use cases.
