iToBoS presented in the 28th Annual Meeting of the European Dermatology Forum

Montreux, 23-25/01/2025.

Dr. Josep Malvehy was a speaker at the 28th Annual Meeting of the European Dermatology Forum (EDF), held in Montreux, Switzerland, from January 23 to 25, 2025.

During the symposium titled “New Imaging Techniques in Dermatology: A New Way to Look at the Skin”, he delivered the lecture “New Imaging Techniques in Skin Cancers”.

In his presentation, Dr. Malvehy explored innovations in imaging techniques used for the detection and diagnosis of skin cancers, highlighting their potential to improve accuracy and efficiency in dermatological practice. He also emphasized the advances of the iToBoS project, a European Union-funded initiative developing an AI-assisted diagnostic platform for the early detection of melanoma.

The iToBoS project integrates multiple data sources, including dermatoscopic images, medical records, genomic data, and clinical information, aiming to offer personalized diagnoses and improve clinical decision-making in dermatology. This data integration enables a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of melanoma risk in each patient.
