iToBoS project at NTUA European Researchers’ Night

Athens, 30/09/2022.

iToBoS project was presented in NTUA European Researchers’ Night in Athens on September 30, 2022.

The event was co-organized by National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and the Technical Chamber of Greece in the context of European Researchers’ Night, Europe-wide public events to raise awareness on the research taking place in European research institutions, taking place each year on the last Friday of September.

The event targets the general public, aiming to disseminate and raise awareness to the results of research projects taking place in the host institution. Special attention is given on the involvement of young people and children. Important stakeholders and policymakers, among which the Dean of NTUA, the deputy Minister of Development and Investments, the Mayor of Athens and the director of the Technical Chamber of Greece, are involved in discussions in the context of the event.

iToBoS was presented in the event, raising public awareness in the Greek audience regarding the project’s goals, challenges and outcomes. Researchers from the involved in iToBoS (Dr. Valsamis Ntouskos) have discussed in person with the visitors, the students and the children visiting the booth, using slides highlighting main aspects of the project. Stamped leaflets of the project were distributed during the event.

Almost all visitors and attendees expressed great interest in the goal of the project. It has been a valuable experience to make accessible the project goals and outcomes to non-experts, in general, and particularly to families, young students and children.
