iToBoS project presented in Advance Course for Dermoscopy

Brescia (Italy), 8/10/2022.

iToBoS was presented in a teaching talk at the 15th Advance Course for Dermoscopy, for primary and secondary prevention and therapy in dermatology oncology.

Dr. Josep Malvehy, member of Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica, scientific partner of the iToBoS Project, held and presented the talk, with the name “Line-field confocal optical coherence tomography for actinic keratosis and squamous cell carcinoma”

In the talk, Dr Malvehy described common non-invasive imaging devices used in dermatology for the detection and monitoring of changes in skin cancers. He highlighted the currently available technologies including Reflectance Confocal Microscopy (RCM), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and Line-Field Optical Coherence Tomography (LF-OCT), while touching on emerging imaging devices, such as the iToBoS Scanner, and the use of artificial intelligence with imaging devices.
