Buenos Aires (Argentina), 26-29/10/2022.

iToBoS was presented in several talks at the 18th World Congress on Cancers of the Skin (WCCS), held at Buenos Aires, Agentina.

Dr. Josep Malvehy, member of Fundació Clínic per a la Recerca Biomèdica, scientific partner of the iToBoS Project, held and presented the following talks titled; “Dermoscopy in the era of AI”, “Skin Cancer Centres Experience in Spain”, “Gene Expression Profiling and Molecular Diagnostics”, and “ex-vivo Confocal Microscopy in fast Evaluation – Mohs Surgery”.

Although Dr Malvehy raised his involvement with iToBoS in all talks, he discussed the iToBoS project in more depth in his talks titled “Dermoscopy in the era of AI”, and “Skin Cancer Centres Experience in Spain”. In these presentations Dr Malvehy presented the overall aim of iToBoS, to build a new diagnostic tool for early detection of melanoma, capable of exploiting all available information on the patient. This holistic assessment tool will better consider specific characteristics of every patient in order to enable personalised, early detection of melanoma.

The World Congress on Cancers of the Skin is a major four-day event for clinicians and scientists working in skin cancer, and this year it was presented as a hybrid event, both online and onsite.
