Main role in the project

In the iToBoS project BARCO will be in charge of the design and validation of the “Intelligent Human-Computer Interface” module that will integrate inputs coming from different SW parts of the system and provide dermatologists with intuitive and quick access to data-based insights and easy understanding of correlations, clusters, predictions for real time decisions. As such Barco is in the lead of WP9 - Integration and Technical validation. Barco will contribute to the design of self-service analytics tools and an effective human-computer interface module of the iToBoS system with the main intent of providing an intuitive and fast access to data insights and interpretation for real time informed decisions;, We will also focus on the validation of the module in terms of usability, personalization, acceptance and effectiveness by involving a large and differentiated group of users (dermatologists and operators with different expertise, computer literacy, age).​

BARCO has a lot of expertise related to bringing medical products and services to market including for example experience related to regulatory compliant design of medical devices and services. This expertise is extremely valuable for bringing the new technologies to market that will be developed in this project.  Barco will also cotribute in the activities related to the standardization in the area of image quality, the integration of the IToBoS solution  in the healthcare system and in the dermatology workflow and to the dissemination, communication and to the go-to-market strategy.​
